2 injured in motorcycle vs. car crash at NE Columbus intersection

COLUMBUS, OH – Two people were hospitalized last Friday evening, June 21, after their motorcycle collided with another vehicle in northeast Columbus, according to 10 WBNS.

The wreck took place near Karl and Schrock roads, in the city’s Northgate neighborhood, shortly before 10:20 p.m.

Preliminary details indicate the victims were on a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Schrock Road. At one point, a Honda Accord turned east from Garden Terrace Road and entered the roadway. Moments later, the motorcycle and the Honda collided, causing both the operator and passenger of the bike to eject.

First responders transported the operator and their passenger to Riverside Methodist Hospital in stable and critical conditions, respectively. Officials say both victims are expected to survive.

The driver of the Honda, who was initially believed to have fled the scene, returned to the site. They were not reported hurt.

No information regarding pending charges has been shared, as an investigation remains ongoing.
